What You Need to Know
AI Tool Scouts is reader-supported. When you click on links on our website and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This affiliate relationship helps us maintain and continuously improve the quality of our content, research, and service to our visitors.
We want to be completely transparent about our business model and how we make money. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising.
Our Commitment to You
We want to emphasize the following important points about our affiliate relationships:
- Editorial Independence: Our reviews, comparisons, and recommendations are based on thorough research, hands-on testing, and objective evaluation. We never allow affiliate partnerships to influence our content or compromise our editorial integrity.
- Selective Partnerships: Not all links on our website are affiliate links. We only form affiliate partnerships with companies and products we genuinely believe provide value to our audience.
- No Additional Cost: You will never pay more when using an affiliate link. In fact, we often negotiate exclusive discounts for our readers.
- Transparent Recommendations: We recommend tools and services based on their merit, not their commission rates. We may recommend products that don't offer affiliate programs if we believe they're the best option for certain use cases.
Our Affiliate Partnerships
We currently maintain affiliate relationships with several AI tool providers, including but not limited to:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT)
- Jasper AI
- Copy.ai
- Midjourney
- Runway ML
- Notion AI
- Descript
- Leonardo.ai
This list may change over time as we regularly review and update our partnerships. We're continuously exploring new tools and technologies in the AI space to provide you with the most current and valuable information.
How Affiliate Links Work
When you click on an affiliate link on our website, a small piece of code (a cookie) is stored in your browser. This cookie helps track whether you make a purchase from the recommended company. If you do make a purchase within a certain timeframe (typically 30-90 days, depending on the program), we receive a small commission.
These commissions help us:
- Maintain and improve the website
- Create new, high-quality content
- Test and evaluate AI tools (many of which require paid subscriptions)
- Keep the majority of our content free for readers
- Support our team of researchers, writers, and editors
Identification of Affiliate Links
We strive to be transparent about which links are affiliate links. Throughout our website, we indicate affiliate relationships in the following ways:
- A clear affiliate disclosure at the beginning of articles and reviews
- Using text like "Try It" or "Get [Product]" on affiliate buttons
- Adding appropriate classes to affiliate links for visual distinction
- This comprehensive disclosure page that explains our practices
Our Review Process
Regardless of affiliate relationships, all tools featured on AI Tool Scouts go through the same rigorous evaluation process:
- Initial research and identification of key features
- Hands-on testing by our team in real-world scenarios
- Analysis of performance, ease of use, pricing, and value
- Comparison with similar tools and alternatives
- Independent editorial review and fact-checking
Our ratings and recommendations are based on the actual performance and capabilities of each tool, not on our financial relationships with their creators.
Non-Affiliate Content
While affiliate partnerships are an important part of our business model, many of our articles and resources don't contain any affiliate links at all. We're committed to creating valuable educational content about AI tools and technologies regardless of monetization opportunities.
We frequently cover emerging technologies, free tools, open-source projects, and educational resources where no affiliate programs exist but that we believe provide value to our audience.
